blake told me glee was the exact same, even worse, than hsm. and i said…
No, don’t you dare. OKAY, First off, It ISN’T anything NEAR any concept of the over-done, bogus high school musical that mocks modern day high schoolers. Glee isn’t about just the music, or the fact that it’s a glee club. It’s a show about how lovely and wonderful all of us outcasts, misfits and ‘weirdos’ are. It’s about confronting others through every bit of fear you have. It’s about how worthwhile the painful wait for love and someone who understands is. It has nothing to do with the derogatory of normal high schools, it’s not all about the popular kid, or the nerdy kid getting the girl of his dreams or some other mainstream, usual affect most movies and shows portray through schools. Glee shows real value, determination and heart. It gives us misfits hope, it gives us belief in something better than what there is now. And that BECAUSE we’re different, we’ll go all the further than those who were seen as “normal” in high school. It’s a silent stand against the judgmental bastards and bitches at schools. Don’t you dare compare Glee to High School Musical or some other ordinary movie about schools. They show no meaning of life. Where glee tries to, and very much most of the time succeeds in showing the unusual, usually skipped over, real-life values. It has soul and depth, it shows past and present and future, it proves cause and effect of even the what seems like the least harmless things. Most of all, it shows that we aren’t the only ones going down the painful, hurtful and agonizing path, looking for love at the end.
